Common questions
How long does a siding replacement take?
A typical single family house runs a few days to about a week once we start, depending on size, how many stories, and what we find behind the old siding. You get the timeline in writing before anything comes off the wall.
What happens if there is rot underneath?
We tell you before we fix it. Old siding hides water damage, and on older Massachusetts housing stock we find some on a good share of jobs. When we do, we stop, show you the area, and price the repair as a separate line before continuing.
Which siding material should I choose?
It depends on your budget, your house, and how long you plan to own it. Vinyl is the value choice and modern vinyl is far better than its reputation. Fiber cement costs more and handles fire and impact better. Cedar looks best on older and coastal homes and asks for maintenance. We walk through the tradeoffs honestly instead of steering you to one product.
Do you work on Cape Cod?
Regularly. Cedar shingle siding and the trim repair that salt air creates are steady work for us across the Cape, from Sandwich out to Orleans and Chatham.
