Deck rebuilds that fix the framing, not just the boards
Resurfacing, railing replacement and full rebuilds, with the ledger, flashing and footings brought up to code underneath where it actually matters.
About our deck remodeling work
Most deck problems are not board problems. They are ledger problems: a deck bolted to the house without proper flashing, or lagged into sheathing instead of framing, quietly rotting the rim joist behind it. Any deck remodel we take on starts by opening that connection and looking, because new decking over a bad ledger is money spent on a deck that will still fail.
From there the work is straightforward. We resurface with composite or wood, replace railings with systems that meet current code for height and baluster spacing, rebuild stairs so the rise is even, and repair or replace framing and footings where they need it. What you get back is a deck that feels solid underfoot instead of one that moves when people walk across it.

- Full deck rebuilds and replacement
- Ledger inspection, flashing and reattachment

We have used Veskon on two multifamily projects, siding and roofing on both. They show up, they communicate, and their work holds up. As a GC, I need a sub I can trust to manage their own scope.
Amazing work
Common questions
Can I just replace the boards?
Sometimes, and when the framing is sound that is the cheapest good answer. But we check the ledger and joists first. Resurfacing a deck with a failing structure underneath is the one deck decision people regret.
Composite or wood?
Composite costs more up front and asks almost nothing of you afterward. Pressure treated wood is cheaper and needs cleaning and sealing to look right. Cedar and hardwood sit in between on both. We price the options side by side so you can decide with real numbers.
Does a deck rebuild need a permit?
Structural work usually does, and requirements vary town to town. We handle the permitting and the inspection scheduling as part of the project rather than leaving it with you.
How do I know if my ledger is bad?
Staining or soft wood on the siding just below the deck, a springy feel near the house, or gaps opening at the ledger board are all signs. The only way to be sure is to open it up, which is the first thing we do.
Can you match a deck to new siding?
Yes, and it is a good time to do both. When the siding is off, the ledger and its flashing are accessible, which is the correct moment to fix that connection properly.
